Hello OpenAssistant friends,
I have created OpenAssistant port and all necessary ports to function on a Gnu/Linux Crux.
As a initial "ports" somethings don't work such as gui mode and other tools like wmctrl, pamixer and so on.
I will fork OpenAssistant so that it better support a Gnu/Linux Crux. It seems finally I will learn python, please be nice to me :). For more information about the ports;
And thanks so much to you all for this totally rad thing :)... is just awesome !!!
Wonderful s1lv1n0 !
So happy to hear that you are developing this further !
Will be paying attention to your work and investigating Crux. Never heard of it before...
Been thinking that perhaps a specific Gnu/Linux distribution could eventually be created based around OpenAssistant.
Install and your box speaks. 🙂
We just might be creating a foundation for future android minds.
Thank you so much for your reply.
I'm working on it, current 4 release have a bug that if the response from the online tool fails with a "random error" wont launch. I will try to make a patch today to fix that (can be a simple "if number in locals()" but that's not very polish). Also I rework the patch's, I try to make a patch per file so that is easier to anyone understand the changes.
It seems crux is the "father of arch" :), I love this distribution for its port simplicity and power. My idea is that a person install crux core packages and then execute one script to install and setup a development environment (gitolite/gitweb, ssh, nginx, postgresql) plus minimal desktop environment with openassistant. I wold like in near future implement Wayland instead of X, implement nftables, configure network for hostap, virtual machines and public accesss to web server and ssh.
Is my first time with python, there exists opencog this two projects seem related can openassistant take (interact with) advantage of opencog ?
Well I go back to openassistant, I must fix this error...
Thanks you all !!!
PS: Since I have festival, my computer start talking as soon as first init script is executed (alsa) then each script says something like "daemon cron launched"... 😉 Openassistant could be launched from ~/.bashrc but she uses global files not per user, so conflict can happen if two instances are run by two users...
Getting the same error today. Seems to be due to some change in the 'lmtool' that is used to translate the commands file within 'utilities.py'
host = 'http://www.speech.cs.cmu.edu'
url = host + '/cgi-bin/tools/lmtool/run'
Have thought that it would be good to have OA have it's own internal language modeling capabilities, before we extend the recognition with machine learning libraries.
Am quite new to all of this technology myself, so learning is happening on all sides. Will be investigating all that you mention, including opencog.
Demo 'Version 0.03' coming soon... Probably tomorrow evening.
I'm at freenode I will make irssi to auto join #openassistant.
Patch's I talk above can be found at;
Branch used to make patches and where I tagged openassistant for better (pkgmk) file download name;
O.A. is totally rad !!!
Wonderful my friend!
Been checking out some of your developments on github and am impressed.
Will be pulling your updates into the master branch.
Should be able to join you on IRC today.
Totally appreciate your involvement!
Just about to send a mailing list message announcing the new demo video.
New fork and port name was created to better handle different versions.
